I can taste the sweetness on my tongue nearly 6 hours later.
The chi is potent. Clarifying, high-resolution awareness immediately upon consumption. Euphoric and driving.
This tea is quite sweet and has a vacuous sensation on the throat. There are some slightly tart notes and a bit of bitter but quickly transforming to sweetness.
It forms a thick syrupy soup and has a slightly cooling/gan/minty sensation. Tingles the tongue.
*For whole cakes please allow extra time.
I currently have 3 slices available of this tea, and have access to a limited number of cakes (maybe 2 or 3 total, and that could change fast.)
The Lao Ban Zhang name definitely carries a high price tag, though this is a pinnacle grade well stored (Taiwan) Sheng puerh from ancient gardens in LBZ.
This cake is listed at Global Tea Hut for $1100, and possibly rightly so.
I got this cake on trade in a package of Ancient Tree Sheng Puerh for some of my 1960 Clay Urn Aged Yiwu Sheng and am able to offer it a bit cheaper.
For cheaper options, check out the Clay Urn Malaysia Shu or the new Sheng Clay urn collection (coming soon).

If you happen to be having an issue getting the tea to taste, check our brewing instructions and follow them closely. Some teas can be more delicate to brew than others- some require more gong fu, and some are basically foolproof. Storage Instructions
Storage Instructions
Tea likes to be stored in an ambient temperature, away from light, and away from all other fragrant herbs, spices, etc. A designated drawer is good. You can also transfer your tea to a special clay jar for long term storage! If using glass, just make sure it's in a dark place, as the light can irritate Tea!
