This is a surprisingly good entry level shu puerh at a very affordable price.
We wanted to find one tea we could offer as a bridge for both people new to tea and our connessoir community who wants a daily drinker that still has some depth and interesting character.
Beginner's Mind is smooth, supple, has some hints of camphor and incense, as well as some amazing sugar and dried fruit notes to it.
At 11 years aging this isn't fresh off the production line, nor has the complexity of many of our mid line, 14-20 years aged teas. But it might surprise our experienced drinkers!
In fact, this is an amazing tea to grab a few tongs of that will no doubt age into something closer to Everyday Prayer or perhaps even Medicine Cake.
At a price tag even the Earl Grey drinker can afford.

If you happen to be having an issue getting the tea to taste, check our brewing instructions and follow them closely. Some teas can be more delicate to brew than others- some require more gong fu, and some are basically foolproof. Follow the right amount, time, and temperature and explore the differences with any slight adjustments.

Storage Instructions
Tea likes to be stored in an ambient temperature, away from light, and away from all other fragrant herbs, spices, etc. A designated drawer is good. You can also transfer your tea to a special clay jar for long term storage! If using glass, just make sure it's in a dark place, as the light can irritate Tea!
