This might be my new favorite old tea. I like to brew it strong, roughly 6-7g per 100ml.
It was gathered from the same source as the 1960s and 1970s Liu An- a serious collector of old tea who knows his stuff.
If I could give you an example of the best possible outcome of Hong Kong storage, this tea might be it. It will take you on a journey!
The rinse is sweet and medicinal, with no storage notes whatsoever. What noticeable Hong Kong influence there is comes out more as a sweet minerality than a funk.
The tea blossoms quickly into a ginseng/medicinal rich milky sweet cream with spices of cinnamon, cardamom, deep chocolate, fine pour offer coffee (Guatemalan sugary sweet coffee).
The flavors roll on in the mouth for seconds and even minutes after drinking the vapors and sensations are still noticeable on the palette.
The tea clarifies a bit after later steepings and becomes even creamer and silky.

Storage Instructions
Storage Instructions
Tea likes to be stored in an ambient temperature, away from light, and away from all other fragrant herbs, spices, etc. A designated drawer is good. You can also transfer your tea to a special clay jar for long term storage! If using glass, just make sure it's in a dark place, as the light can irritate Tea!
