This is a rare Da Hong Pao Oolong from the famous Wuyi mountains that not only has every characteristic of sought after premium rock teas- it also comes from a wild garden!
This tea is smooth, delicious, centering and grounding. It is a perfect example of the "rock rhyme" flavor known from this region, as well as wild mountain tea qi.
Perfect for an afternoon gong fu session, a bowl tea ceremony, or even leaves in a bowl. It is lightly roasted, with notes of sweet chestnut, caramel, orchid, and edamame.
Rock tea from the famous Wuyi mountains is easily the most famous genre of tea next to Yunnan Puerh. This tea gets its name from the hard bedrock that the tea grows in. It is also known as "Cliff Tea," and is said to contain beneficial minerals from the bedrock.
This Oolong comes from a protected small family property that is growing without human involvement and harvested just twice a year. We managed to score 20% of the entire small harvest for our line.
Enjoy this deeply grounding, clarifying and centering gem of a tea!
BREWING TIPS:
-Place enough leaves in the teapot to cover the bottom of the teapot and still see some of the bottom of the teapot. (3-5g)

-Pour the first steep off after 5-10 seconds for a rinse.
-Wait 30 seconds to a minute for the leaves to hydrate and slightly open.
-The first steep can be 20-30 seconds. Try to get every drop of water out of the teapot.
-The second steep can be a very quick "flash steep" - 2-7 seconds.
-The third steep can be slightly longer.
-Each additional steep add 10 seconds to the steeping time. Continue through as many steepings as you like.

Storage Instructions
Storage Instructions
Tea likes to be stored in an ambient temperature, away from light, and away from all other fragrant herbs, spices, etc. A designated drawer is good. You can also transfer your tea to a special clay jar for long term storage! If using glass, just make sure it's in a dark place, as the light can irritate Tea!
